Family Self Sufficiency Coach
BangorHousing is seeking a highly motivated individual with a positive attitude to assist program participants achieve education, employment and financial goals. The individual we are looking for would need to have the availability to work a full time flexible schedule in a 37.5 hour work week. Duties include but are not limited to recruiting FSS program participants and maintaining ongoing contact to monitor their progress toward their goals. Mentoring, teaching and organizing trainings to help to improve parenting and life skills of participants will also be necessary. Requirements: College degree in social work, counseling or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience in social work, counseling or a related field, knowledge of social service agencies and experience working with such agencies, excellent communication skills, proficiency in major office software applications including Microsoft Office products, ability to understand and comply with privacy laws respecting the confidentiality of clients, ability to work tactfully and non-judgmentally with people of lower income, of diverse backgrounds and ages, and varied national origins.
